| | | | | To all those travellers exhausted by the stresses of modern life, the Hotel Gabriel offers a truly unique concept for rejuvenation. The first-ever “detox hotel,” this Paris property is entirely devoted to the regeneration of its guests’ internal ecologies via healthy food, quality sleep and soothing atmosphere – the detoxification trifecta. Located right in the busy heart of the city, it is a mecca for the urban frazzled, a metropolitan oasis in the truest sense of the term. At the Hotel Gabriel, guests are encouraged to cleanse their bodies of the toxins accumulated through lacklustre diets, environmental pollution, bad habits and sustained anxiety. To this end, the hotel offers the groundbreaking NightCove sleep system conceived by Professor Damien Leger, internationally renowned sleep expert and head of Paris’ Hotel-Dieu Sleep Clinic. Designed by Patrik Jouin and produced by Zyken, the NightCove features in the hotel’s Glowing Rooms and Suites, providing their inhabitants with a variety of light and sound programmes that correspond to the natural stages of the human sleep cycle. Acting directly on the body’s melatonin levels, these programmes assure users a peaceful and invigorating night. They can also be configured during for day naps or synchronised with personal computers to read favourite mp3 files. All 50 rooms – Glowing, Model and Lone Star – also come equipped with decadently comfortable bedding, plush rugs and calming LED lighting. The private bathrooms are filled to the brim with detoxifying skincare products by Korres, an Athens-based brand that uses only organic ingredients, mainly from the Mediterranean and totally free of mineral oil, propylene glycol, silicone and ethanolamine. Flat screen plasma TVs, iPod docking stations and free WiFi round out the impressive list of amenities. Naturally, the detox experience extends beyond the guest rooms, permeating the entire property and unifying its various elements in a holistic atmosphere of healing. At the bar lounge, for example, guests can choose from a range of antioxidant drinks and a wide selection of teas by Kusmi – the “Detox Blend” of green tea, mate, lemongrass and lemon is particularly good for stimulating body cells. Purifying drinks like iceberg-extracted Berg water help jump start the body-reboot process, while the Zen-like setting helps soothe the nerves. Detoxifying massage and skin care treatments are also available, executed with the help of Biooster products rich in organic essential oils. For guests in search of those ever- therapeutic endorphins, the Hotel Gabriel has arranged a partnership with the highly exclusive Klay Club just a few blocks away in the hip Montorgueil area. Last but not least, the museums, cafes and shops of central Paris are a mere stone’s throw away; those in need of good ole’ shopping therapy and cultural stimulation need only walk out the front door for relief. The Hotel Gabriel has it all. | | | | AdID: | | 10777818 | | Marke | | designhotels.com | | Bestellnummer | | 35885 |
